The Studio Theatre Series is designed to supplement the mainstage season
and to provide a larger variety of on-campus theatre experiences for majors,
minors and other students interested in the theatre program. The focus
of the series is to provide students with the opportunity to produce theatrical
works that would not necessarily be viable on the main stage. Such works
include but are not limited to one-acts, classics, staged readings, contemporary
or student-authored works. Above all, the focus of the series is to be
educational and experimental, a laboratory whereby students are allowed
the time, space and resources to learn first hand a variety of theatrical
experiences. In September 1998, Cardinal Stritch University's theatre department opened its Studio Theatre program. To give an idea on the varied the Studio series is, he following is a list of student-directed productions that have been performed in recent years: |
