PURPOSE: To choose a person who is a representative of what we Genesians strive to become through this organization. The person who we elect to be our "Genesian of the Year" is that club member who, in the past year, has most consistently worked toward the betterment of the Genesian Players as an organization, and toward his/her fellow Genesians as club members and friends.
CHARACTERISTICS TO BE CONSIDERED: While thinking of who your choice will be, ask yourself if this person has not only met the description of the above, but also possesses these characteristics: Loyal, Personable, Supportive, Responsible, Conscientious, Giving of Time, and Consistent.
WHAT A "GENESIAN OF THE YEAR" IS NOT: Our choice of the "Genesian of the Year" should not be based on personal talents, accomplishments, popularity, or the number of shows he/she has been in, because this does not necessarily constitute a truly good representative of what a good Genesian should be.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO BE VOTED "GENESIAN OF THE YEAR": Any member of the Genesian Players who has, to the best of their ability, strived to have the good, positive, and supportive characteristics that a Genesian should have.
